The Telfer School Management upholds the belief that every individual, including students, faculty members, and administrative staff, should have the opportunity to thrive in an environment free from discrimination based on factors such as race, colour, place of origin, language, religion, immigrant or newcomer status, ethnic origin, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and age.
EDI Report
In this report, you will find the results of the survey conducted by AETSA on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the Telfer School of Management. This survey was distributed to the Telfer School of Management student population members. It was distributed through Student Union messaging groups, Faculty Club messaging groups, and Telfer Career Center Ambassador messaging groups, as well as the AETSA Instagram page. This survey was distributed in Frenchand English and covers the following aspects: Language, Identity, Inclusion and Diversity and the EDI initiative
AETSA Funds
The AETSA Equity Funds are designed to reduce financial barriers and promote equitable access to case competitions and extracurricular opportunities for students within the Telfer School of Management. In alignment with AETSA's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) mandate, these funds provide financial assistance to students seeking to participate in Telfer events, case competitions, and external competitions that contribute to their personal and professional development while representing the Telfer community.
Students are strongly encouraged to submit applications as early as possible and no later than 1.5 weeks before the applicable payment deadline. Funding amounts are subject to availability and do not cover expenses related to travel, accommodation, or meals. All applications are reviewed confidentially by the appropriate committee, and funding decisions are communicated within 7-10 business days. Students who receive funding are expected to attend the approved event or competition, as failure to do so without a valid reason may impact eligibility for future funding opportunities.
Equity Fund
Provides financial support to Telfer students facing financial barriers to attend Telfer-affiliated events, conferences, and activities. Funding, as subject to availability, can partially cover the event ticket cost, and is intended exclusively for events organized by Telfer, AETSA, or recognized Telfer clubs. This fund does not cover out-of-faculty events.
Case Competition Fund
Application to this fund provides financial assistance to Telfer students facing financial barriers to participate in eligible Telfer-affiliated case competitions/events. Submit this form if applying financial assistance on any of the following events: ENACTUS Regionals or Nationals, Telfer Internal Case Competition, Happening Marketing, ACE Nationals, Omnium Financier, and/or Jeux Du Commerce. For the most up to date information on eligible events and application deadlines, please refer to the form.
External Conference Program
Provides financial assistance to Telfer students facing financial barriers to attend external conferences organized by non-Telfer organizations. Funding may cover a portion of registration or ticket costs, subject to availability, helping students access opportunities beyond the Telfer community at other regions or institutions.
